NFT Sharing Feature Now Available to All US-Based Facebook and Instagram Users

Major social media platform Meta has now enabled the NFT sharing feature for all Facebook and Instagram users in the United States, as well as allowing them to connect their wallets.

Also, creators and collectors across 100 countries can access the feature.

  • In May, Meta announced that it would test the NFT sharing feature using a small number of creators and collectors in the US.
  • Now, the tech giant Meta has officially unveiled the functionality to all users in the country who use Facebook and Instagram, as they can connect their digital wallets to both social media platforms.
  • Also, US-based users can now cross-post their digital collectibles across the two giant social media platforms. According to an updated blog post on September 29,

“Today we’re announcing that everyone on Facebook and Instagram in the US can now connect their wallets and share their digital collectibles. This included the ability for people to cross-post digital collectibles that they own across both Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, everyone in the 100 countries where digital collectibles are available on Instagram can now access the feature.”

  • As previously reported by CryptoPotato in August, Meta rolled out support for wallets like MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, and Dapper Wallet. The firm also supports Ethereum, Flow, and Polygon blockchains.
