Third-person battle royale shooting game Off The Grid has released new skins for gamers resembling the two candidates in the upcoming United States presidential election, leaving gamers calling the move “insane” and “wild.”

Titled the “Save Democracy Content Pack,” the Nov. 2 gameplay trailer features audio snippets of character skins inspired by US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, using phrases similar to what they’ve said in the past or subtle references to their policy positions.

Familiar references by presidential candidates

“I’ve always been against the death penalty, but in this case, I’ll make an exception,” the blue female skin declared, which gamers have suggested resembles Kamala Harris.

“I need a new right arm…make sure it’s not made in China,” the red character yelled, which many have pointed out resembles Donald Trump.

“Looks like a one-percenter to me; tax that f****,” the blue character declared, echoing Harris’ stance on making the wealthiest US citizens pay more in taxes.

Harris’ tax proposals may increase taxes by about $4.1 trillion from 2025 to 2034, according to a recent report from the Tax Foundation.

While gamers have likened the skins and voices to Trump and Harris, the gaming platform behind the hit game has only alluded to the characters’ identities without making any official confirmation.

Gunzilla Games reiterates both characters are fictional

“Both characters are fictional. Voices performed by actors. Gunzilla Games does not endorse any politician as none of them represent our values,” Off The Grid declared in a Nov. 2 X post.

Crypto gaming commentator Stache told his 103,600 X followers that “this is the most INSANE content pack” he has “ever seen.”

Gamer “Mat” wrote in an X post, “It feels like April Fools, Halloween and elections all at the same time.”

The launch comes ahead of the US presidential election on Nov. 5, with several analysts suggesting it could trigger volatility across the entire crypto market.

Meanwhile, it was only recently that VanEck’s private crypto fund invested in Gunzilla Games, marking the asset manager’s second bet on Web3-enabled gaming,

“We see crypto as a tool to enhance gaming experiences and improve monetization strategies,” VanEck’s Matt Maximo said.
