CZ champions AI tagging integration for crypto chains

In a recent X post, the Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao shares his thoughts on the use of AI tagging on-chain and why AI integration would be beneficial for crypto moving forward.

On Nov. 27, the former Binance CEO stated that artificial-intelligence tagging could be well-suited for on-chain use, considering how it could help in speeding up the crypto payment process and getting rid of unnecessary bias.

“AI tagging (or AI data in general) is well fitted to be done on-chain. Harness low cost labor globally without geographic bias, (micro) pay them in crypto instantly,” said CZ, adding that the Binance solution BNB(BNB) Greenfield already has the capacity for AI data integration.

“More tooling still needs to be built. Let’s build them,” he continues.

In a separate post, CZ responds to Zignaly Co-Founder, Abdul Rafay Gadit’s comment asking if he has any recommended literature to learn more about how AI can be applied to blockchains, saying that there has not been much exploration into the field that combines AI and crypto chains as it is a relatively new innovation.

“It’s so new that there isn’t much literature. I have been trying to learn by talking to founders and developers in the space,” said CZ.

In the past year, there have been many AI-powered innovations making waves in the crypto sphere. Most notably with the creation Truth Terminal, an AI bot obsessed with internet memes that spurred a collection of viral meme coins, including GOAT(GOAT) and FARTCOIN. Both coins have seen their market caps soar to the hundred millions in a short amount of time.

There was also flavia, an AI-run token based on an artificially-made internet personality created by Trevor McFedries, co-founder and CEO of tech company Brud, a transmedia company that produces digital personas.

In terms of blockchain integration, blockchain protocol Injective unveiled a new software development kit enabling users to create their own AI agents on-chain called iAgent. The AI-powered tool can leverage natural language processing for payments and trades, as well as automate user interactions with databases, APIs, and applications.

In his first public interview after being released from prison, CZ expressed his desire to use his time as a free man to learn more about budding innovations in the crypto sphere, especially artificial intelligence.
