Crypto market is ‘not playing ball’ so far in 2025: Jason Pizzino, X Hall of Flame

Crypto’s sluggish start to 2025 doesn’t worry Jason Pizzino, co-founder of crypto education firm TIA Crypto — he’s optimistic the market could turn around before the quarter’s over.

“It could still be a green quarter, it could still be up from the 1st of January till the 31st of March, but right now it is not playing ball with what people were anticipating from the last cycle in 2021,” Pizzino tells Hall of Flame.

When asked if the anticipated crypto bull run could become an awkward non-event after all the hype, the Gold Coast-based Aussie crypto influencer admits it’s possible but doubts it’ll come to that.

“Any scenario is possible. It is more or less what would be more probable. I think that would be less probable that it just kind of goes nowhere for the entire year,” the avid surfer says.

But traders trying to time the market based on the last cycle could be in for a shock, says Pizzino:

“What the majority expect usually doesn’t happen, or if it does happen, it doesn’t happen for very long.”

When it comes to how long the bull run might last, Pizzino — who’s got over 320,000 YouTube subscribers — says he’ll know when his crypto YouTube views start tanking. He jokes that his channel views dump right along with Bitcoin’s price.

“It is another signal within itself to have a YouTube channel because you can gauge the analytics and metrics as to how busy or not the market may be,” Pizzino says.

“You can see the views go down, you can see less subscribers, and it just happens time and time again,” he adds.

How did Jason Pizzino grow his X following?

Pizzino runs TIA Crypto with his brother Michael, offering crypto education but not financial advice — because, as he puts it, the regulators “don’t like that.”

With his company’s growing community of crypto-curious members and a YouTube channel boasting 320,000 followers where he regularly posts videos on Bitcoin and other markets, Pizzino has seen the following spill over to his X account, now sitting at 125,100 followers.

Pizzino was initially hesitant to use his dormant X account which he set up back in 2014, but his followers started asking for written versions of his videos with Bitcoin charts and analysis, so he finally gave in and started posting.

Pizzino says most of his followers came from the “last six to twelve months” of the 2021 bull market, especially around the time Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $69,000 in November 2021.

What type of content does Jason Pizzino do?

Pizzino’s content mainly focuses on chart analysis for Bitcoin. He also covers the US stock markets and Australian and US real estate markets, saying they’re vital to crypto’s performance.

“They are underlying assets we need to be following; they have the most money in the world,” he says.

“If those aren’t doing well, it’s probably unlikely that any other asset is doing well,” he adds.

When it comes to other crypto accounts he enjoys, Pizzino likes the technical trading analysis from crypto trader Eric Crown, the crypto educational content from “TradeTravelChill,” and, of course, his brother Michael Pizzino, who he jokingly admits has a slight edge over him.

“He’s much smarter than me, so his technical trading is much better than mine,” he laughs.

Predictions for Jason Pizzino

Pizzino isn’t a fan of price targets, and it was pretty clear in his eyes during the interview when he was asked about them.

He says he prefers to think of it like a ladder— reach this price, then focus on the next step up — rather than seeing it as a “final destination” and selling everything at that price.

We still have a few numbers out of him, though.

“Bitcoin has at least $120,000 in it for this cycle, whether this cycle means 2025 is the end of 2026,” Pizzino says.

“I think ETH probably has at least $5,300 in it for this cycle,” he adds.
